The European Handball Federation made decision to leave Faroe Islands without home court in the upcoming qualifications for the Men’s EHF EURO 2020, as small country doesn’t meet requirements in hall capacity (min. 2000 seats) and some other.
Faroe Island will meet Denmark, as the host on Danish soil, in Skjern. Match will be played in Round 2 on October 27 or 28.
Faroe’s coach Sonni Larsen said for Danish media:
“It’s insane that we can not play at home”.
