Emil Madsen in THWW Kiel from 2024/2025

THW Kiel is pushing ahead with its future plans: Backcourt player Emil Wernsdorf Madsen will strengthen the reigning German champions from the 2024/2025 season. The 22-year-old, top scorer in the Machineseeker EHF Champions League and the Danish league, is moving from GOG from Denmark to the Zebras, with whom he has signed a four-year contract until June 30, 2028.
Emil Wernsdorf Madsen was born on January 1st, 2001 in Svendborg. The 1.94-meter tall backcourt player has played for GOG since he was a child. After moving from youth to the professional squad, the 94-kilogram left-handed player increasingly developed into a top performer for his club, for which he scored 277/47 goals at the national and international levels in his first two professional seasons. In the season that just ended, Emil Madsen increasingly came into focus: With GOG he celebrated the second Danish championship in a row after 2022 and even won the double in his home country for the first time by winning the cup in 2023.
