Filip Jicha: It’s not easy to beat Veszprem without Wiencek and Bilyk

THW Kiel celebrated “arbeit sieg” against Telekom Veszprem 29:28 which put “Zebras” at the EHF Champions League TOP 8 two matches before the end of the Preliminary Round. Niklas Landin saved shot of Vuko Borozan to make distance between two teams even bigger. Now is four points…

  • I am very happy and extremely proud of my team. It was an incredibly intense, balanced game. But we did these little things that can make the difference in the end. So we moved on to four goals, towards the end we had the luck of the hard-working. I also have a lot of respect for my team because it is not easy to play against one of the best teams in the world without Patrick Wiencek and Nikola Bilyk. Hendrik Pekeler and Pavel Horak did a great job, the whole team was extremely close – said THW coach Filip Jicha.

– It was a wonderful game. The first half was balanced, both teams had their ups and downs. But then we didn’t make up the gap in the second half. Still, I’m very happy with my team and the way we fought. We gave everything – said Veszprem’s coach David Davis.
