From Toulouse to Flensburg: Simon Möller strengthens SG’s goalkeeper duo

After the announced departure of Kevin Møller (left to GOG), it is now certain: his successor between the posts at SG Flensburg-Handewitt will be Simon Möller. The Swedish goalkeeper will join the club in the summer of 2026 from the French top-division side Fenix Toulouse Handball.

“We are very happy to welcome Simon to our team,” said Holger Glandorf, managing director of SG Flensburg-Handewitt. “He brings international experience, enormous talent, and the calmness needed for this position. We are convinced that he has a bright future ahead of him at SG.”

Simon Möller comes from a handball family: his father Peter Möller played professional handball himself, including in Lübeck and Hamburg, and his younger brother Felix also became a professional. From a young age, Simon showed exceptional talent in goal and quickly made a name for himself in the Swedish Handbollsligan. In 2018, he won the European Championship with Sweden’s U-18 national team. The 25-year-old began his professional career with Swedish club IK Sävehof, with whom he won multiple Swedish championships, before moving to Fenix Toulouse Handball in 2024.

“SG is a top club with great fans and a strong team. I am incredibly excited about this new challenge and about following in Kevin’s footsteps, who leaves behind a great legacy here,” said Simon Möller.

Head coach Aleš Pajović also commented on the signing: “Simon is a young, talented goalkeeper who fits perfectly with our playing philosophy. His international experience and strengths make him an ideal partner for Benjamin Burić and a valuable reinforcement for our goalkeeper team.”
