An idea to make the Bundesliga Final between two best teams from regular season at the football stadium as some kind of “season highlight“ didn’t get strong support by the Germans teams who think that that would underestimate the previous part of the season. The other solution to make handball bigger was found fast and that make happy all the handball fans across Europe, etc.
„Handball Day“ in Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt will be held on September 6 2014 and organizers expect 50.000 fans to watch the match between EHF CL winner HSV Handball and EHF Cup winner, Rhein Neckar Lowen! As some pre-games will be played youth tournaments for the U 14 and U 12 kids. Whole event will have also different activities in order to make a real handball day on which every handball fan could be proud.
Current record in number of fans at one handball match is 36651 at Danish Play-Off Final between AG Copenhagen and BSV Silkeborg in May 2011.
