At the inauguration of the Champions League in Kielce, Vive Targi outperformed Dunkerque HB, winning 33:23 (15:11). The result however can be misleading, because despite high winning the hosts didn’t have an easy job. Thanks to the excellent on that day Manuel Strlek and a good performance of Polish goalkeeper Sławomir Szmal, Vive was able to leading 7:3 in thirteenth minute. Then the hosts lost concentration, which was quickly used by french guests, who scored three goals in a row. Despite all Iskra didn’t loose a leading, ending the first half with a slight advantage. After a break Dunkergue start to come from behind and in 37th minute Christoffer Rambo’s good shot gives guests a draw (16:16). After a few minutes the balanced duel, Vive players again came to the fore. Due to the excellent game of Uros Zorman, and a great Venio Losert’s attitude, Kielce increase the advantage, ending the game at the score of 33:23.
