Goran Perkovac is new Croatian national team head-coach.
Decision is taken by Management Board of Croatian Handball Federation earlier today. CHF dismissed Hrvoje Horvat from that position after 9th place at World Handball Championship 2023 which was underlined as failure.
Lino Cervar is also out of the decision-making process of Federation as his function of coordinator for men’s handball ceased to exist.
The 60-year old Perkovac is famous name of Croatian handball, Olympic winner as a player from Athens 1996.
He spent most of his career in Switzerland where he led the best teams like Kadetten Schaffhausen, Pfadi Winterthur and Kriens Luzern with two Bundesliga adventure with TUS Lubbecke and GWD Minden.
Perkovac also coached national teams of Switzerland and Greece.
