Gudmundur Gudmundsson extends with Fredericia HK until 2027

Fredericia Håndboldklub can announce that Guðmundur Guðmundsson has extended his contract with the club until 2027.
Guðmundur’s original contract ran until 2025, but with the new agreement, he extends his commitment by another two years.
– It is with enormous pride and joy that we can announce the extension of Guðmundur Guðmundsson’s contract. He has been a decisive figure in our journey towards the top of Danish handball, and we are incredibly happy that he has chosen to continue his work with us. When we employed Gudmundur at the time, we did not doubt that he was the right person to build on the strong foundation that Jesper Houmark had created. Since joining Gudmundur has lifted the team and the club to new heights, says FHK Director Thomas Renneberg-Larsen in a press release.
– The past season has been nothing short of fantastic for FHK. With key reinforcements such as Evgeni Pevnov and Sebastian Frandsen, we have raised our performance significantly, leading to an impressive second place in the base game. This ensured us European participation with a guaranteed place in the EHF European League and we are now applying for participation in the Champions League. The team will be further strengthened in the coming season with big and experienced profiles.
– I am very happy to have extended my agreement with Fredericia Handball Club. It has been a fantastic journey so far and I look forward to continuing the good cooperation with the players, the coaching staff and the entire staff who stand behind us every single day. We have a good agreement in place, and the club’s ambitions match my own. The first two years have gone well, and the team has developed significantly. There are great opportunities for further progress. It will be exciting to play in Europe and, together with the team, advance the club further. FHK can potentially become a regular top-4 team in Denmark, emphasizes Guðmundsson.
