Guillermo Milano to lead Saudi Arabia
Argentine handball coach Guillermo Milano has stepped down from his position as head coach of the Chile women’s national team and is moving to the Middle East. The former Vardar coach is set for a new challenge in his career and is close to taking over the Saudi Arabia national team, writes gol.mk.
Milano previously coached his native Argentina, while his first bigger international challenge came at Macedonian side RK Vardar, where he stayed for only one season. After leaving Skopje, he took charge of California Eagles in the USA before moving to Chile.
Milano led RK Vardar in a total of 29 official matches, winning as many as 25 of them, while two ended in draws and two in defeats. Throughout the entire spring, the “red and blacks” remained unbeaten in Macedonian handball, but that run came to an end in the final round when they lost at home to Pelister, which also cost them the championship title.
