After the very important victory against Croatia Zagreb in the European Champions League, the Hungarian League leader SC Pick Szeged faced Kecskemét on Wednesday. Due to heavy financial problems the guest team only consisted of young players.
Apart from defence specialist József Czina and serbian international Rajko Prodanovic, who was injured during last week’s CL match, all other players were available for Szeged coach László Skaliczki. As expected the match ended with an easy victory for the home team (50-18) with mainly their substitute players on the field. Having played to the best of their abilities with some good performance the Kecskemét youngsters need not be ashamed of the result in an arena in which MKB Veszprém KC suffered heavy defeat in October.
The best scorers were Márk Hegedűs (11), Marinko Kekezovic (7), Antonio Pribanic (6) and Zsolt Balogh (6) from the home team.
