The president od International Handball Federation, Hassan Moustafa praised work of his organisation in the last decade and even more. The chairman of world’s handball talked about development in exclusive interview for Russian Handball Federation website:
The popularity of handball in the world over the years has grown significantly. At the beginning of the century, IHF included 120 countries, now the number of members of our federation has exceeded 200. But I would like to draw your attention to the fact that we managed to make handball in the world a sport that meets these professional criteria. Thanks to the work of marketing structures with television, advertising contracts, attraction of sponsors, we managed to increase the IHF budget by more than 20 times during these incomplete 17 years. And this is very important, we can now invest in the development of our sport – concluded Moustafa.
