Swiss legend Manuel Liniger to stop NT career on 902 goals

An era in Swiss handball is over. Legendary left wing Manuel Liniger said “goodbye” to the national team after 16 years of fantastic career. The 35-years old left wing netted 902 goals in 214 matches for the Swiss national team, which put him on second place of “all-time” list behind Marc Baumgartner who netted 1093 goals.

Only average Swiss NT through the years didn’t allow Liniger to present himself on the biggest stage – European and World’s Championship.

However, Kadetten Schaffhausen member played at DKB Bundesliga at Wilhelmshaven, Lemgo and Balingen.
