Israeli champion Hapoel Rishon beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 29:28 at the Refferes Cup Final, which was the first official match of the season. Macabi Tel Aviv have played without the biggest signing, Bojan Butulija, who came from champions team, Hapoel Rishon during summer break.
Championship starts next weekend. Despite these two teams, the third favorite for the Championship title is the most succesful team in the last few years in Israel – Maccabi Rishon.
