One of the most successful coaches in the history of handball, Lino Červar signed a new two years contract with Macedonian champion, Metalurg Skopje. Červar, who came to Skopje in 2009, Slovenian media connected with Celje Pivovarna Laško last week. Metalurg’s owner, Minčo Jordanov, one of the richest man in Macedonia, has a vision to make strong team for European standards. With Cervar on the bench, Metalurg won Champions title last season, but failed to qualify for the EHF CL. They drop out from the EHF Cup in 1/6 ginal against FA Goppingen, after two solid games.
Another chance to play EHF Champions League, Metalurg will have next summer, because championship race with Vardar Skopje is almost over.
