“MAGIC WRIST GOES TO LEGEND” – Uwe Gensheimer to retire!

Sad day for handball. Legendary German left wing Uwe Gensheimer has announced desire to retire at the end of current 2023/2024 season.

The 37-years old Rhein Neckar Lowen captain will become the sports director of the club from SAP Arena.

Gensheimer will be remembered as one of the most attractive players in European handball in the last 15 years. His cat style and shooting capabilites were impressive.

He is also unique as a guy who played for only two teams in proffesional career.

Gensheimer played at Rhein Neckar Lowen between 2003 and 2016, when he took a  break by signing contract with ambitious Paris Saint Germain. Uwe played three seasons abroad before he came back home in the club which symbol is.

He is out of the court for many months due serious knee injury, but fans hope to see Gensheimer at the court in the second part of his last season in proffesional handball.
