Many of the players trying to escape from the “ex-handball country”, Spain, but some of them want to come back. One from the second group is Marko Curuvija (30), Serbian left wing and the Topscorer of ASOBAL 2008/2009 with 209 goals, when he played for Teucro.
After that season, Curuvija went to Macedonia, where he played for Metalurg and then, Vardar Skopje. Now, he signed two years contract with Naturhouse La Rioja from Logrono.
Before Teucro, Curuvija spent three years in Ademar Leon, which was his first international team, after he moved from Crvena zvezda Beograd.
He played for Serbian national team, last time at the WC 2009 in Croatia.
Next season in Logrono will play Nikola Prce as well.
