Mathias Gidsel is World Young Handball Player 2021

Handball-Planet.com is pleased to announce the results of our 8th Voting Contest for the Young World Handball Player 2020/2021 (generation 1999 and younger). The Danish youngstar, GOG right back who exploded at IHF World Championship 2021, Mathias Gidsel (1999) got the highest number of cumulative votes of handball journalists and handball fans (Handball-Planet.com visitors.

Behind Danish player is the fantastic season with GOG and Danish national team, who won the gold medal in Egypt. 

Gidsel won 34 in total ahead of French left win Dylan Nahi (24), Icelandic goalkeeper Viktor Hallgrimsson (21) and Slovenian playmaker Domen Makuc (20).
