It was known from before that it’ll be all-Balkan final, as all four teams in the semifinals were from the ex-Yugoslavia. Montenegro had to concede defeat against Slovenia, after Slovenian girls won the decisive second half with 14:11, and in the end won the game with 24:22. In the “derby” between Croatia and Serbia, the Serbian team had easier job than everyone expected. With convincing 13:7 lead at half time, the winner was sealed. In the second half, Croatia failed to make a comeback and were defeated 16:25.
