Serbian Junior NT headcoach Aleksandar Brkovic on Tuesday will have the first meeting with his players at the beginning of the preparation for the Men’s U 20 EURO 2014 in Austria. Tournament in Linz and Traun will start on July 24. Serbian generation 1994 suffered some changes after U 18 World Championship in Hungary last summer, where „Eagles“ have lost 1/4 final battle against Spain in the last second of the match…
– Players had individual tasks, so we believe that they will quickly adapt on the beginning of preparations. We will start with 18 players and hopefully have more luck than last summer in general. We couldn’t count on Djukic (right wing), Belos (left back), Vojvodic (playmaker) and Brajovic (right back) last year in Hungary. Team will get a new strength with them and, of course, we are ready to take revenge on Spain at the Main Round, but first of all, let’s get ready for the event – says Serbian head-coach Aleksandar Brkovic for Handball-Planet.com.
Serbia will play three friendly matches before U20 EURO 2014 – against Slovakia on June 14 and twice with Kuwait (June 17 and 18).
Serbia will play in group B alongside Denmark, Switzerland and Estonia.
