Mirko Alilović stay at Wisla Plock until 2026!

Mirko Alilović (40) will remain at Wisła Płock for another year! The veteran goalkeeper, a master of his craft and former Croatian national team player, continues to defy the years and bring quality to Xavi Sabaté’s squad. The reward for his efforts has come in the form of a new contract until the summer of 2026.
Alilović joined Wisła Płock in the summer of 2023. Before that, he spent 12 years with Veszprém and Pick Szeged. With Veszprém, he lost the EHF Champions League final twice, in 2015 and 2016. Whether he will get another chance to play at the Final4 in Cologne this or next season remains to be seen.
“I am happy to extend my contract with such an ambitious club as ORLEN Wisła Płock. I want to thank Xavi as a coach and all the people in Płock who have trusted me. I am very pleased to be part of this project next year, and I hope to help the team as much as I can, as well as that we will achieve our goals together – to be at the top in Poland and Europe,” said Mirko Alilović, who next season will have competition from Norwegian Torbjørn Bergerud and young Polish player Marcel Jastrzębski.
