There is no doubt. In Hungary, the best team is MKB Veszprem. Dejan Peric and others showed that they are class up in comparation with Pick Szeged, rival, who took last Championship title in 2007 with Vladan Matic on the bench. In the Play-Off Final serie, MKB Veszprem won 3-0 (33:26, 20:33, 22:20).
Despite their results in Hungary, both finalist finished this edition of the EHF Champions League in the TOP 16 phase. MKB Veszprem lost against F.C Barcelona, while SG Flensburg won over Pick Szeged.
