Momir Ilic: “to Berlin for the Title”

Momir Ilic, the Serbian international playing for THW Kiel, in an exclusive interview for Balkan-Handball.com speaks about the upcoming game against Fuchse Berlin on Sunday. He considers the game as one of the most important this season, and should THW Kiel win this game, it might mean a title for them, because “many teams were losing points there”.

About the upcoming European Championship 2012 in Serbia, he is optimist, but warns that this European Championship is “to be or not to be for Serbian handball”. He expects full support from the stands, and that this Championship is “one when Serbian team has never had the possibility to get one of the medals at some Championship, and everything else but a medal will be considered a failure”. Ilic adds that the opening game against Poland “will mean a lot, and a victory would be perfect, for cool atmpshere in the next but hard games against Denmark and Slovakia”.
