MORE SEATS FOR HANDBALL FANS: Veszprem and Szeged to get bigger halls

Hungary and Slovakia applied for hosting Men’s EHF EURO 2022. Ambitious project will be supported by some new infrastructure in country where handball has a special place in heart of the fans and huge support of the state despite only average results of the both national teams.

The two most popular handball cities in Hungary – Veszprem and Szeged will get more space for their fans. Veszprem Arena according plans will be reconstructed in period 2019 – 2020 to get ready to receive 8.469 fans under the roof.

The new hall will be built in Szeged, where modern PICK Arena will have capacity of 8.150 seats for much better experience of all the participants.

Alongside Veszprem and Szeged, capital Budapest and city of Debrecen would also host Men’s EHF EURO 2022 from Hungarian side with Kosice and Bratislava in Slovakia.
