Handball news of the day is coming from Norway! Legendary goalkeeper Katrine Lunde is pregnant and has to take a break from proffesional handball for a while. She and her boyfriend Nikola Trajkovic (Serbian football player who play in Gyor) waiting for a baby in March 2015. She will miss the whole season, but Gyor’s goalie will stay fit with the everyday practice with her team.
A 34 years old Katrine will miss chance to win the hat-trick at Women’s EHF Champions League with Hungarian champion and become one of the “golden” girls with five trophies (she won two both with Gyor and Viborg HK).
Lunde will also miss the Women’s EURO 2014 in Croatia and Hungary next December.
– I am happy and looking forward to their own family. But handball will still be a lot of my life, and I hope I can come back quickly at peak after birth – says Katrine.
