One of the best left backs in Europe, Sanja Damjanovic (26), will join Danish Viborg next season. Former “dream-team”, and couple of times Champions League winner, got the Serbian international that played for Podravka Koprivnica in the past two seasons. As one of the top scorers in the EHF Champions League and in the ideal roster of the EHF EURO 2012 in Serbia, former Zajecar and Krim player became interesting to all top clubs:
– Bringing Sanja Damjanovic is a big step forward to realise our ambitions to get back to being one of Europe’s top clubs. We brought a player that can score lots of goals against the strongest defences. Besides the attack, she plays extremely well in defence too. We got a real player with perfect age – said after signing the contract Viborg’s sports director, Susanne Wilbek.
