OLD&YOUNG at Men’s EHF EURO 2018: From Martin Galia to Milan Jovanovic

It is always interesting to see who are the most experienced players and who are youngstars who will write new chapters of the handball history in upcoming years. The oldest player at Men’s EHF EURO 2018 coming from Czech Republic. Goalkeeper Martin Galia is born on Aprli 11, 1979 (6 saves in first match against Spain), a month before Austrian veteran Vytas Ziura, who was added to the squad just before start of the tournament. 

The third and the last guy from generation 1979 at EHF EURO 2018 is legendary Icelandic wing Gudjon Valur Sigurdsson.

The youngest member of all squads in Croatia is Serbian left back Milan Jovanovic. Newcomer among Serbian “Eagles”, coming from RK Vojvodina Novi Sad, is born in January 1998 – with good series of his team and placement in Main Round – he could celebrate his 20th birthday in Zagreb.
