PARIS 2024: Dutch girls beat Angola in “run and gun” match

The Netherlands have celebrated victory at the start of the Women’s Olympic handball tournament in Paris.

In “run and gun” battle, Dutch girls beat Angola 34:31 (19:18) after 60 minutes of good handball.

Team led by Swedish coach Per Johansson, unexpectedly, faced strong resistance of the best African side, who was in the game, but not enough strong to make turnover in the second half.

Polman and Malestein were TOP scorers in the winning squad with eight goals each.

On opposite side, Nenganga and Paulo scored six each.
