PARIS 2024: Louise Burgaard is out of Danish squad

Louise Burgaard is dealing with problems in the Achilles tendon, and therefore she has now been replaced by the Danish national handball team’s Olympic squad.
Instead of her, national coach Jesper Jensen has decided that Team Esbjerg player Michala Møller will be available in Saturday’s game against South Korea.
“She’s been struggling with Achilles tendon problems for a long time and unfortunately it’s just gone the wrong way. The assessment from our physical staff is that it is no longer safe to keep sending Burgaard into battle, says Jesper Jensen.
