PARIS 2024: Pytlick + Gidsel, Denmark on +8 over France

It was a big match in Paris at the end of the Day 1 of the Men’s Olympic handball tournament.

Denmark outplayed France 37:29 (18:17) in fantastic second half led by two amazing players – Mathias Gidsel and Simon Pytlick, who both scored 22 goals in total (11 each).

The host of the Olympics 2024 wasn’t capable to keep the level and speed of the Olympic champions from Rio 2016, in possible the last clash of two titans – Mikkel Hansen and Nikola Karabatic.

Mikkel Hansen netted six goals for the winners, while on the other side, Nikola Karabatic scored three times. The TOP scorer in the French squad was Hugo Descat (7), mostly from 7-meter line.
