Petar Cikusa out for 2 months

Bad news for Spanish Barcelona, which won the domestic Cup last weekend with a victory over Torrelavega, but also lost their 19-year-old center back, Petar Cikuša.
One of the best young center backs on the planet suffered a foot ligament rupture and will be sidelined for two months. A grueling schedule without a proper break (Final Four, European Youth Championship, Olympic Games, World Championship) contributed to the injury, which, fortunately, can be treated conservatively. Surgery was avoided.
Cikuša had a breakout season last year in senior handball, showcasing great potential and a promising career.
Already in his first season, Petar earned the trust of Antonio Carlos Ortega following the departure of Luka Cindrić and the serious injury to Domen Makuc, and he was part of the lineup that brought Barcelona the EHF Champions League trophy in Cologne.
