After many years, successful Slovakian coach, Peter David will return to his country to lead the National Team. After the 16th place at the last EHF EURO 2012 in Serbia, former coach, Zoltan Heister resigned. Slovakia win just a single point in the Preliminary Round with Serbia, Denmark and Poland. Slovakian Handball Federation found a new solution, perspective coach of German Grosswaldstadt, who will be on the double function in the years to come:
– We are pleased that we were able to engage David, who accepted our offer. At the same time we have to thank the representatives of the club’s TV Großwallstadt who came to meet us and allow him to work with our national team – said Federation’s President, Jaroslav Holeša.
– I am delighted that I was after 16.5 years abroad got the opportunity to lead the male representation. It’s a honor and a challenge to which I look forward. Realize that expectations are high. In recent years, Slovakia is regularly started on top events. I will try to continue this successful tradition, “said 45-year old David.
