This tournament is set up a bit strangely for us, because we have a very difficult first group. Usually, in the preliminary phase there is a team that is, you could say, a bit of a points provider and no matter how you play, you always get out of that group. Now it’s a bit different, the group is very even, we have four teams from Europe and it won’t be clear until the end which of these teams will not make it out of the group. That’s why we have to focus our preparations mainly on this first group and only when we get out of this group will it be easier for us theoretically, because we will end up in a group with the Danes, where there will also be Italians, Tunisians or Algerians, so playing will be much easier in theory. It will be the opposite of usual, because this pyramid of difficulties was going up, and here, at least on paper, it should be the other way around, but first we have to focus on getting out of this group, and it won’t be an easy task, but we are ready for it.

The task will certainly not be easy, because we have matches against Germany, the Czech Republic and Switzerland. How can we briefly characterize these rivals?

We are starting from a very “high C”. We are playing the Olympic vice-champion at the beginning and we will try to play as best as we can, so that even in case of defeat we will enter the tournament well. However, the next two matches will be crucial for us, namely the matches with the Czechs and the Swiss, and in these two matches we must show everything we have to get out of the group.
