Poland (Round 14): Vive Kielce wins after the break

There was no surprise in Puławy where Vive Targi Kielce beat Azoty Puławy 34:28. It wasn’t an easy win though, Polish Champion has to manage without 5 injured players (Buntić, Cleverly, Čupić, Rosiński, Štrlek). Home team took advantage of Kielce’s problems and the game was equal by 55th minute. Vive’s effectiveness wasn’t good, mostly thanks to Azoty’s goalkeeper Maciej Stęczniewski who, among others, saved 4 penalty throws. However, at the end guests managed to score 5 goals in a row and eventually won by 6 goals. The top scorer for Kielce was Thorir Ólafsson (11). Kielce fans cannot be entirely satisfied not only because of the style of their team. During the match, Krzysztof Lijewski probably sustained an injury. It would mean that Kielce has got no right back player at the moment.

Round 14 scores: Kwidzyn 26:34 Zabrze, Chrobry Glogow 22:26 Piotrkow, Legnica 24:25 Zaglebie, Stal Mielec 34:25 Przemysl
