The country that sees to raise its level of club and national teams handball level, Portugal, know the winners in its championship and Cup. Porto won the Portuguese league yet again, the 4th time in a row, led by the Serbian coach Ljuba Obradovic. On the other hand, another Serbian, Branislav Pokrajac, won the Portuguese Cup with Sporting Lisboa. It seems that the Serbs find Portugal to be a fertile soil for handball successes, as this has lasted more than just this year.
