One of the best Slovenian player ever, right back Renato Vugrinec (37) has decided to continue his career in RK Maribor Branik. Fifth team of strong Slovenian League was good enough challenge for experienced former player of Celje Pivovarna Lasko, Portland San Antonio, SC Magdeburg and HSV Handball. Vugrinec is ready to help young team coached by Dr. Marko Sibila to become serious rival of the best Slovenian teams, Celje PL, Gorenje and Cimos Koper.
– When I heard that Maribor wants me, I said, why not? In Maribor football was alway number 1, but handball is progressing year by year – said winner of silver medal with Slovenian NT at EHF EURO 2004.
