Rhein Neckar Lowen celebrated the first win in EHF Champions League this season. The German champions beat Slovenian RK Celje Pivovarna Lasko 31:30 (16:15) in the opener of the Round 2 in European elite competition. Celje had 27:24 only 13 minutes before the end, but Jakobsen’s boys took finish of the match seriously and made turnover.
Celje scored the goal for 31:31, but Romanian referees dismissed it because Gal Marguc stepped over the 6-meter line.
