Russia, Sweden and Spain are qualified for the EHF EURO 2020 Main Round. The reigning world’s vice-champions have saved honour in the last 20 minutes of the decisive clash with Czech Republic 27:24 (11:16). The Spanish ladies were six goals down after 41 minutes (16:22), but then Carmen Martin (12/12) and her compatriots made turnover to ensure three more matches on this Championship.
Russia beat Sweden 30:26 (15:13) to ensure four points at the start of the Main Round. Daria Dmitrieva was TOP scorer in the winning team with six goals.
Spain and Sweden will start with one point each, while Czech Republic will go home.
