Sander Sagosen is out of the WCh 2025?

In the opening match of Group III in the main round, Spain seemed set for a secure victory against Norway, leading by five goals in the second half. However, Norway mounted an impressive comeback to take the lead. Unfortunately, during the intense final phase, Norwegian handball star Sander Sagosen suffered an injury to his right calf and had to leave the court with the help of teammates.
Norway now faces a major setback, as team doctor Thomas Torgalsen confirmed that Sagosen sustained a calf strain and may miss the rest of the tournament. Torgalsen explained that recovery from such an injury typically takes three to six weeks, pending further examination and an ultrasound.
Norway is with only two points far away from quarter-final spots.
