Slovakian champion Tatran Presov beat Macedonian best team RK Vardar Skopje 37:34 (18:14) in the derby match of SEHA Gazprom South Stream League Round 4. Slovakian champion repeat the success from the last season, when they won in Skopje against the same rival – 33:29 and keep the “small tradition” of domination over Vardar. Domestic team were in lead in the first 15 minutes (7:3, 9:5) led by fantastic Timur Dibirov (9), afterwards Vardar stop to play defense.
Team of coach Hatalchik had a fantastic performance in the rest of the match. Playmaker Zarko Pejovic, right back Dainis Kristopans and right wing Tomas Urban had the best roles in this success. Tatran had a great start of the second half with maximum +7 – 22:15. Vardar managed to get back in the match, but in the last few minutes, goals of Latvian giant Kristopans (216 cm tall) were made a clear distance between two teams…
