Sergei Kosorotov comeback to Wisla Plock

After spending two years in Veszprém, Sergei Kosorotov is set to return to Orlen Wisła Płock, according to TVPSPORT.PL. The Russian left back will join the reigning Polish champions before the start of the 2025/26 season.
The 25-years old Kosorotov previously played for Wisła Płock for two seasons, joining in 2021 from Chekhovskiye Medvedi. He immediately became one of the team’s top scorers from the backcourt, netting over 350 goals in the ORLEN Superliga, ORLEN Polish Cup, Champions League, and European League. With Wisla he reached EHF European League Final4, where Poles ended third on event in Lisbon.
Kosorotov came to Veszprem in summer 2023, but he was struggling to find the proper place linked with all the qualities he has. The Spanish coach Xavi Pascual has decided to bring fresh energy with two Egyptians Ahmed Hesham and Ali Zein.
Kosorotov is just a part of the ambitious puzzle in Plock. Melvyn Richardson and Zoran Ilić will reinforce the right side. Additionally, goalkeeper Torbjørn Bergerud will join the squad.
