Siewert and Kretzschmar to stay in Berlin until 2026

Füchse Berlin extended the contracts of coach Jaron Siewert and sports director Stefan Kretzschmar by two years until 2026.

The club announced this on Thursday. “Füchse Berlin stands for continuity and that’s why we’re pleased to be able to continue on the path together with Stefan and Jaron for the next two years,” said manager Bob Hanning.

At 29 years old, Jaron Siewert is the youngest coach in the Bundesliga and has been Berlin’s head coach since summer 2020.

“I really enjoy working with this team every day. I can also continue to call my home Berlin a sporting home,” explained the coach.

Stefan Kretzschmar praises the work of the 29-year-old, under whose sporting leadership the current second-place team in the Bundesliga has developed into a top international team. The European League was won in 2023, and in November the team reached the final of the Club World Cup.

“First of all, I’m fundamentally happy about the development of the club and the team. An important reason for this is certainly Jaron, his character, his manner and of course his quality as a coach suit us one hundred percent,” said legendary Kretzschmar.
