Skjern and Mathias Madsen part ways

Skjern Handball ends its collaboration with Mathias Madsen with immediate effect.

Skjern Handball has decided at an extraordinary board meeting to end the collaboration with Mathias Madsen with immediate effect.

The decision was made based on a lack of sporting results.

– We are sorry that we are in this situation, but it is our opinion that the qualities in our player squad are worth far more than what the results show. Unfortunately, we have not succeeded in continuing the good pace from last season’s successful playoffs, which ended with silver medals, says sports director Thomas Klitgaard in a press release and continues:

– We thank Mathias Madsen for his good and loyal cooperation and wish him good luck in the future.

Mathias Madsen has the following comment:

– I have had many fantastic hours in Skjern Handball in recent years, so I am of course disappointed and upset about the decision. But that’s the way the game is sometimes. I would like to thank the players, staff and fans for the support and everything we have achieved together in recent years, says Mathias Madsen.

Kasper Søndergaard will take over the job as interim head coach from today.
