After Handball-Planet.com already wrote about negotiations between Celje PL and SG Flensburg about his transfer, one of the biggest surprises of the WCH 2013, Slovenian giant Borut Mackovsek (20, 204 cm) talks for Slovenian press about his wish to move to German team:
– My wish is Flensburg, even the teams didn’t agree about transfer fee. There are some other teams, but I will wait for Flensburg until the last moment. Ljubomir Vranjes told that he would like to have me in the team. I hope that team will find a deal, because I want to leave Slovenia after this season. I think that Germany is right place for my type of players, shooter, 6-0 defense. That would be a real challenge for me to improve and become even better player – said Mackovsek which contract with Celje Pl is until summer 2014:
– I don’t have anything against Celje. We have great coach, management is ok, I can’t say anything bad. Everything is about a chance which I want to grab. That is my decision, I didn’t have any problem with the coach or management. My only wish is to make next step. – concluded Mackovsek.
VRANJES – “OUR” MAN
– I only hear nice things about him. He likes to work with young players. He is from Sweden, but with Serbian origin. He is “our guy”. At the beginning it would be much easier for me, because I wouldn’t have language barrier. In Flensburg that problem would be smallest – said the “Cat”…
