Snorri Gudjonson: Lucky point – Gerona: I am taking responsibility for the last two minutes

Serbia had +2 and ball 50 seconds before the end, but match in Munchen against Iceland ended without winner! At the end 27:27 for smiles of Icelandic players who were knockedown by the Balkan-team, but they ended undefeated.

Coach Snorri Gudjonsson:

– It is fair to say that we won point today. We were in difficult position. We won one point which probably can be very important for us. We faced very difficult defense and goalkeeper. I will say luck point, but good point for us – said Gudjonsson.

Toni Gerona, head-coach of Serbia:

– I want to congratulate to my team, 58 minutes were great. I am taking responsibility for the last two minutes, I didn’t take some decisions, I didn’t help them enough. You can say that we lost one point, but if you say before the match, you know that Iceland won last five openers at EHF EURO events.
