STOP for Handball in Poland, Denmark and Slovenia

Slovenian Handball Federation and Polish Handball Federation have officially suspended all handball activities in their countries, according to the epidemiological threat caused by the spread coronavirus.

All domestic competitions will be suspended temporarily.

Is that mean RK Celje Pivovarna Lasko and PGE Vive Kielce won’t be able to meet at VELUX EHF Champions League knock-out stage in the last week of March, it is still unknown.

Denmark take decision to suspend all competitions in the next 14 days.

Morten Stig Christensen, secretary general of the Danish Handball:

“It has certainly not been an easy decision, and we are really saddened by it on behalf of the many handball-happy Danes, who now have to look far behind the hall floor. Conversely, we are in an exceptional situation where we all have a responsibility to behave responsibly. And for us it is equally important to avoid the close body contact that handball brings.”
