One of the best European teams in Rio will avoid disaster from London 2012. The Swedish girls showed power of the continent with victory over South Korea 31:28 (16:15) two days after they beat Argentina. The Asian girls were in the game in the first 40 minutes like in the first match against Russia, but they lost the rhytm and couldn’t stay leveled with the rivals.
Isabelle Gullden led the Scandinavian girls from 18:18 in 35th minute to +5 – 25:20 only seven minutes later. Koreans came on 29:27 three minutes before the buzzer Gullden and Sand ended with their hopes.
Hagman again was TOP scorer for Sweden with seven goals, while Gullden and Torstensson netted six each. On the other side, Woo scored seven for Korea.
