The Men’s Handball World Championship Trophy to conquer Mont Blanc

Next September, the 2017 Men’s Handball World Championship Organising Committee will send eight of its members off on a mission: Climb the Mont Blanc in the French Alps and take the championship trophy to the highest point in Europe.

Never before has a handball trophy been lifted so high. The France 2017 Handball organising committee have set themselves the spectacular challenge of climbing the infamous Mont Blanc in just four months time. The aim of this “phenomenal ascent” is to raise awareness for next years World Championship event by taking the trophy to the top of mountain (4,809 metres).
