Veszprem wins Group – Celje at TOP 16

After this convincing 34:27 (19-11)home win for the Hungarian champion, the in-form Veszprem underlined their intention to go far in this year’s EHF Champions League. This win has seen another stellar performance from the Hungarian team lead by MomirIlić, who was once again a standout performer for his team, scoring eight goals in tonight’s match.

The fortunes of Zagreb (6 pts.) are now well out of their hands, as they will have to defeat St. Petersburg HC (7pts.), hoping for another inspired performance from Veszprem,who travel to meet HC Motor Zaporozhye (22.02.) in the last remainin ground of the EHF Champions League Group A.

C.O Zagreb need a win against Russian Sankt Petersburg in front of home fans, but in the same time, Veszprem has to take point or two in Ukraine…
