Macedonia will get a new champions – RK Metalurg. Since they lost Championship last year after three seasons of domination, general opinion was that Vardar will defend the title, but Lino Cervar and his guys made fantastic 60 minutes at the end of the season and beat the biggest rival 30:21 (16:11) at home court “Autokomanda” hall in front of 1.500 fans.
That will be the 6th Macedonian title for Metalurg, fourth with Lino Cervar on the bench in the last five years.
In the first match of the these rivals, Vardar won 25:24. Metalurg have to win the last two match of the Play-Off to secure the trophy, but that has to be an easy job for them…
