The second day of the 43th International Handball Tournament in Struga (Macedonia) brought a lot of interesting moments to the handball fans at „Ženska plaža“. The only domestic team, vice-champions RK Strumica beat Romanian side SC Dinamo Bucuresti 25:24 (15:16), only day after minimal defeat against Turkish best team Besiktas MOGAZ 19:18.
The decisive clash for the first match in the group and the place in the final will be played tonight when Besiktas and Dinamo will meet.
In the second group, French side Cesson Rennes and Egyptian powerhouse Al Zamalek played 22:22 (13:9). Egyptian led by Ahmed Al Ahmar and Shehib earned the point after -5 in the second half. This get them a chance to play for the place in the final. For that it will be needed that Egyptians beat SC Benfica Lisbon more than +3 (Cesson beat Benfica 24:21).
The final clashes will be played on Saturday.
